The life of a village youth
Little Crow is a native American Indian boy. His tribe weaves baskets, which they trade with other tribes to get knives, skins, beads, and other items. Although he lives an ocean apart from Asia, his life is in many ways similar to what a village boy in Laos would have experienced.
They also grow crops, hunt, fish, celebrate festivals, and sometimes fight with nearby tribes.Through a series of adventures, Little Crow's life becomes real for the reader. One young member of our staff, after reading this book prior to publication, has already been motivated to talk with members of past generations, to see if he can unearth more history of people in Laos.
